We soon realised that surrounding the projects which we sponsor for adults, were many extremely poor children who were in need of educational resources. So ten adjacent villages of the poorest sort are selected each year and children brought together to receive qualitative supplementary education. Because of their poverty, and marginalization by other castes, the children do not fare well at the

government schools but this added support lifts them to very acceptable standards for later life & further education. Their tuition is given by college students who are paid a small honorarium, which in turn helps them to pay their own college fees. On average 227 children are helped every year by these tuition centres. (Their illiterate parents also gather round and learn by default!)
