Providing quality wooden Handlooms:
the looms are installed in the small homes and so take up the whole accommodation space with the family sleeping underneath them. The communities already have inherited loom skills but these are enhanced through extra training where needed. In the past the looms were owned by middle-men who never allowed the weavers out of their poverty trap. So far the project has benefitted 97 weavers and their families and because only lately in India hand-loom fabric is valued over machine-made fabric, this is a very sustainable programme. It is growing all the time, thanks to your donations.
